Is the Sensitive Sunscreen SPF50+ the best product for my sensitive skin?
The fragrance free, hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested Sensitive SPF 50+ formula is designed specifically for those with delicate skin. Formulated with carefully selected chemical (organic) UV filters, different to those in We Are Feel Good Inc.'s other SPF formulas. It is clinically proven for those with sensitive skin and is WAFGI's reigning #1 best selling product… just try it to know! As those of you with sensitive skin know, when introducing new products we recommend starting with a small patch test and note any reactions.
What’s the difference between Sensitive Sunscreen SPF 50+ and Baby Mineral SPF 50+?
If you have sensitive skin, finding a sunscreen that doesn’t irritate your skin can be a hard task, so We Are Feel Good Inc. have provided two options for customers in hopes they find a product suitable for their skin. The biggest difference is that the Sensitive Sunscreen SPF 50+ uses chemical (organic) UV filters, whereas the Mineral SPF 50+ uses physical, or ‘mineral’ filters. Both are dermatologically tested, suitable for sensitive skin and babies from 6 months of age. In the end, no one product is “better” or “healthier” than the other (despite what you may read on the internet). It all comes down to preference as to how each feels on the skin and how your skin may or may not react.
Is Sensitive Sunscreen SPF50+ fragrance free?
Yes! Not only is it fragrance free to suit sensitive skin - it is hypoallergenic and dermatologically tested, meaning it has undergone special testing and formulation standards have been met to ensure it is safer and less likely to cause adverse skin reactions.
Is Sensitive Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50+ non-comedogenic?
Yes, the Sensitive SPF 50+ is on the lower end of the comedogenic scale. This formula is lightweight, non-greasy and designed to feel like a moisturiser.
Is this product suitable for babies?
Yes, Sensitive Sunscreen SPF50+ is suitable for all ages and babies over 6 months of age. As with all new products, we recommend starting with a small patch test. It is not recommended to apply sunscreen on babies under 6 months of age. Although of course if shade and clothing aren’t sufficient and you choose to introduce sunscreen. In this case both the Sensitive SPF50+ and the Mineral Sunscreen SPF50+ will be safe.
Do We Are Feel Good Inc. use chemical ingredients?
We Are Feel Good Inc. use a mix of organic (chemical) and inorganic (mineral) compounds in their range to achieve the best result and provide maximum protection. It is important to note, both chemical and mineral (physical) sunscreens work in the same way, by absorbing UV rays from the sun and converting them to heat, but vary by how well they do this. Different chemical structures (i.e. different UV filters) will absorb different wavelengths of light, hence the need for multiple filters. Some filters are better at absorbing UVA rays, whereas others are better at absorbing UVB rays. By using a combination of UV filters, sunscreen formulations are able to achieve better protection, aka Broad Spectrum (UVA + UVB) coverage.
Are We Are Feel Good Inc. sunscreens water resistant?
Yes, all of their sunscreens are in line with the Australian and New Zealand Sunscreen Standard (AS/NZS) 2604:2021 for water resistant protection. It’s important to look at the individual water resistant protection claims for each product, as they can vary from 80 minutes to 4 hours. Please ensure you are following all usage instructions recommended by the TGA, despite any length of (water resistant) time claimed.
Do I need to use sunscreen everyday?
Applying sunscreen every morning should be an essential part of your daily routine. In fact, anytime the UV rating is above 3 (which it is in most parts of Australia every day of the year), you should be wearing an SPF. Up to 90% of skin aging and most skin cancers are caused by unprotected sun exposure. The damage is cumulative, and in Australia, can occur in as little as 10 minutes in the sun.
