Carthusia's Via Camerelle Diffuser captures the scents of the island of Capri, from the sea breeze to the blooming lemon groves. Bright top notes of bergamot, lemon and bitter orange are set against the warm herbaceous backdrop of marjoram. Cyclamen and jasmine notes segue into the weightless base of sheer woods and crisp amber. Refreshing and airy, Via Camerelle offers an olfactory stroll along the most famous of the island's shopping streets. Once the sticks are dipped into the perfume in the phial, the rich essence rises up, allowing the fragrance to diffuse gently yet continuously in the air around. Beautifully boxed for gifting. Made in Italy.

Exclusively imported in Australia by Saison.

About Carthusia

Capri, the Italian island of dreams has been an enchanting oasis since Roman times. Its natural beauty, sunny climate and innate glamour are legendary. In 1380 the Father Prior of the Monastery of St. Giacomo made Queen Giovanna D’ Angio’ a flower arrangement with the most beautiful island flowers. The water was not changed for three days, and the Prior noticed that the water had acquired a beautiful fragrance. This became the first perfume of Capri. Forgotten and re-discovered in 1948, the Monastery with permission of the Pope, revealed the recipe to a chemist, who created the smallest fragrance laboratory in the world and called it ‘Carthusia’. Today the perfume tradition continues and limited production ensures the same methods used by the Carthusian monks are respected.
