Odor 93 is the second chapter of the Mystics Trilogy and the first real flowery fragrance of the Meo Fusciuni collection. The journey here is dreamlike, inspired by a fairy-tale that Meo wrote a year before starting to work on this fragrance. From the beginning, the idea was to use flowers, tuberose and narcissus, as absolute protagonists for the first time. The idea of combining a real physical journey into the fairy-tale world of northern Europe, precisely in Denmark, came during a night spent in the woods of the upper Val Trebbia, where Meo spent many years of his adolescence. The moral of the fairy-tale tells the importance of pursuing one's own journey with will and love.
Fragrance
this work opens with the smoky notes of the birch leaves, like a wood full of thousands of fairy-tale atmospheres. The curtain opens and gives way to the flowery and fleshy notes of the unlimited tuberose and narcissus, a hug from very particular flowers, a flowery scent that does not follow the common olfactory trajectories of floral perfumes. The base notes of guaiacum wood and oud recount this dark tale along with the other protagonists, in addition to an arrangement of animal and undergrowth scents. When we think of floral perfume we often think of a purely feminine fragrance, Odor 93 contradicts this thought because its particular scents are also very well matched on men's skin, bringing out the smokiest and most animal, woody, and obscure scents.
